The elk and wolf grew up romping through the forests and fields of the wilderness. When their parents found out, they were told that an elk and a wolf were not supposed to be friends. It would end in tragedy. As they grew older and wiser in the ways of predator and prey, they understood why their aunts and uncles looked at them with such disapproval. The wolf kept to her pack and the elk to his herd. But on occasion, they would sneak away and play, no matter how old they grew. They never lost their friendship.
