Black Bear Claws with Pearl was a soothing creation to work on. It reminds me of my favorite mountain to hike where we often stumble across bears. Bears are strong, independent, and fiercely protective animals. Black bears are North America’s most common bear species. These claws came from a taxidermist in Alaska. Working with bear claws is always a humbling experience.

Featured in this necklace are two black bear claws that frame a pearl accent bead. Southwestern heishi make the majority of the necklace’s length, with turquoise, ceramic, and wood accents. I cleaned and polished these claws before drilling them for this necklace. Total length of necklace is 60 cm (23 in). Please Email Us if you’d like another length.
